Regional Vice President - Southeast Region

Mike joined United Heartland in 1997 as the Regional Risk Manager for Iowa, bringing with him nearly 30 years of experience in the safety and health fields including loss control field and management positions with The Hartford and CNA. Today, Mike leads United Heartland's expansion efforts into the Southeast, directing marketing and loss control efforts in new states including North Carolina and Virginia. Mike has been a leader with the American Society of Safety Engineers on a local and national level. He served as the President of ASSE’s Northeast Iowa Chapter from 1998-99 through the 2000-01, and was elected the chapter Safety Professional of the Year in 2000-01. Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
